Word of the Day
Each of our “Word of the Day” animations include meanings and examples of how the words can be used within a sentence. Expanding children’s vocabulary is important for the success of children’s reading, writing, speaking and listening.
We have an extensive catalogue of words, that the children can learn to help enhance their knowledge and enrich their English skills.
They are suitable for Key Stage Two (KS2 – ages 8 to 11) and each word has been chosen carefully to help embed vocabulary in your children’s learning journey.
All of our animated songs are based around the National Curriculum and suitable for EYFS, Key Stage One (KS1) and Key Stage Two (KS2). They also available completely free via the Silly School Education Youtube Page. You can learn more about what what we do and who we are by visiting our “About Us” page!
Word of the Week
Our carefully curated Word of the Week animations will help you learn new words and expand your vocabulary by learning a new word each week. Each fun animation includes the definition of the word of the week, the correct pronunciation and examples of the word in sentences. Word of the Week animation is a great free resource for primary schools, elementary schools and anyone learning English.
This free resource for school provides a fantastic foundation for expanding vocabulary in the classroom. We launched the Word of the Week feature as part of our commitment to expanding students’ vocabulary and we focus on words that are used across the National Curriculum. Academic research clearly shows that vocabulary skills are very strong indicators of academic success and achievement. The wider a child’s vocabulary the more confident and empowered they feel to participate with confidence with their peers and in the world around them.
